It's Always Fun when Grandma and Grandpa Come

My children (especially the little ones) are going through withdrawal. It is hard readjusting to normal life again after a week like this. They were sad to say goodbye to the party that was going on here for a wonderful and blissful week... The party was having Grandma and Grandpa Buhrley here to play! I was asked if they came for anything special or if we had any fun plans while they we here. I answered... um....no and no. But as I looked through all of the fun pictures Grandpa B. took while he was here, I have to say that EVERY day was a special day, and besides isn't coming to just play with us reason enough ;) We were so thrilled to have them.

It was a week of enjoying the GORGEOUS Arizona Spring weather...

Going for walks (or rides)...

Playing at the park...

Playing at the park...
And by popular request... even more playing at the park... (sometimes 3 times a day)

Collecting treasures (specifically bugs, but anything else interesting was fair game too)...

Making sand castles...

Reading books...
Playing legos...

And doing puzzles.

It was a perfectly wonderful week!

Rocky Point, Mexico

The kids were out of school the 3rd week of March for Spring break. I know we just went on a big fancy trip. I know. But with these beautiful beaches just 3 1/2 hours away... and with 4 crazy kiddos home all week, well -- it's just too hard to resist a get-away to our favorite little paradise in Mexico.

There is something so calm and relaxing about sitting on the beach, watching my children dig and splash and play, listening to the waves, eating mangos and helado all day, feeling the warm sun on my shoulders and the sand between my toes, exploring the tide pools, collecting shells, taking in the gorgeous sunsets...

(Oh, and did I mention that we don't have cell service in Mexico :)

I put together a little 3 minute slide show of some of the highlights. Check it out if you like :)
